Seeking Garden Volunteers!

Want to get your hands dirty and learn a bit of history and horticulture while you do it? Think about being a volunteer!

Everyone who comes out to help will get to share in the bounty of the gardens, which includes flowers, lettuce, spinach, arugula, chard, kale, chamomile, chives and mint. Plus you can pick our gardener’s brain while you’re here.

Every bit of help is appreciated, whether its once a month or twice a week! Volunteers hours can be shaped around your schedule, anytime between 9am to 5pm on weekdays. If you’re interested, please email Holt the gardener at [email protected] or call 571-210-7723.

“Best of the South” Awards

Hey ya’ll! We are “pleased as punch” to share that we made it to the finals of the Best of the Southern Weddings Awards (a.k.a The Pineys)! We were one of the top vote-getters in our “Best Plantation Style Venue” category.

We would love your vote, head on over to the polls at “Best of the South Wedding Awards Finalist Voting: Day 1.”

Our fabulous vendor friends whom we’ve worked with time and time again are listed as well. Give them a shoutout too!

Mother’s Day Peony Picnic

The Mother’s Day Peony Picnic was so wonderful, we forgot to take more then a few pictures! Feel free to share any pictures you took with us at [email protected] Happy Mother’s Day to all the amazing moms who stopped by, and thank you to Geleti Celesti for the yummy treats!

Tea & Quilts

Thank you to all the helpers from the Richmond Quilters’ Guild for making “Tea & Quilts at Tuckahoe” such a charming event! The quilts looked like colorful sails floating in the breeze, and the food was scrumptious. We’re already looking forward to next year!

Historic Garden Week of Virginia

We had perfect weather for Tuckahoe’s Open House for Historic Garden Week! Guests wandered the beautiful gardens and optionally toured the mansion. The Tuckahoe Garden Club wonderfully arranged flower displays for the mansion. Here are a few photos of the bouquets.
